Job Title:
Certified Financial Planner Authorised Representative

I started in the finance industry back in 1987 as a life and general agent at AMP—following in the footsteps of my forefathers. Since those early days, I've worked in many roles, including general agency manager. Over the years, I gained more experience and qualifications, eventually starting my own business and becoming fully settled into the role of a financial planner. I merged my business to become part of the All Financial Services group in 1999 and strongly believe in our vision to improve the quality of people's lives through a living financial plan.

I feel it is important for people to seek advice from a financial planner so they can have a realistic understanding of what the future holds for them. With the right advice, they are able to make informed choices about their future. It's also important families are financially protected with a plan in place in case something goes wrong.

My life experiences enable me to have a deeper understanding of the issues people face. I understand the pressures of being self-employed and know full well the fear of retirement. The question I'm asked most is "Do I have enough money and will it last?" I'll listen to your concerns, uncover what's important, discuss solutions and empower your to make decisions when the time is right.

Being involved in focus groups and committees allow me to give back to our profession and the business community. I'm proud to be the Vice President (Finance) at the Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce, an executive committee member of the Authorised Representatives Association and of the AMP Advice Review panel.

Something many people don't know about me: before I became a financial planner, I was in the military. My position in the Royal Australian Navy was on Darwin patrol boats as a Quarter Master Gunner. Sadly, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Kevin, passed away in October 2016. Kevin was well and truly part of the Brown family and we miss him dearly.
